Exposition

Historical part

Permanent historical exposition of museum documents historic development of the area since medieval times till 20th century. The medieval time is represented mostly by ceramic findings. The Treasure from Tlesky (the finding of ceramic vessel with 400 glass rings) from the turn of 13th and 14th century stands out among them. The 17th and 17th century on former Petrograd’s estate is connected with the Černín family from Chudenice. Their actions are documented by Privilege of Heřman Černín from Chudenice and picture of Martyrdom of St. Lawrence with depiction of members of Černín´s family. Guild landmarks remind guild-organized craft production in Jesenice in 18th and 19th century. Styles and tastes of 19th century and begin of 20th century are documented by collections of pewter, ceramic and glass vessels and decorative objects in contemporary greenhouses. Atmosphere of country life reminds the “Old pharmacy of Jesenice” with original furniture, pharmacy equipment and collection of dried herbs. In the museum courtyard continues its herb garden. The courtyard provides great place for relax of the visitors.

Natural science part

In January 2000 the exposition dedicated to nature of Jesenicko was made accessible. Surrounding of Jesenice was declared Department of the environment OV as “Natural Park Jesenicko”. In museum exposition the visitor will find animals, plants, rocks and examples of wood located in this area. In terrariums and aquariums can be seen even live animals. Curiosity between preparations is the pink flamingo, which years ago strayed into the ponds of Jesenice.
